Nature of Money and Islamic Finance

In this module, we will look at the nature of money and a brief history of debt, the corelation between the real and the financial economy in the Islamic economic model, and the derivation of this model from the Quran, the Sunnah, and Fiqh al-Mu'amalat. We will also highlight the simple rules that define the model including Shariah-compliant contracts and a case study that shows how lslamic finance works in practice.
