Developed in partnership between IslamicMarkets Learning, International Shari'ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) and industry experts, Shariah Fundamentals provides an introduction to Shariah sources and the basics that any Islamic finance practitioner must know. This path sets forth the foundation to understanding Shariah (Islamic law). Once you have completed this learning path, you should have an understanding of the sources of Shariah, and how Shariah rulings are derived.
This programme will introduce you to the different sources of Shariah used to derive Shariah rulings. By the end of the programme, you will understand each source and the key objectives that Shariah intends to achieve when deriving rules.
This program introduces you to Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) and discusses its importance in Islamic Finance. By the end of this program, you will have a solid understanding of Fiqh Mu’amalat (commercial transactions jurisprudence) the Islamic Legal Maxims, known as Qawai'd Fiqhiyya, and their function in rulings' deduction.
